Introducing the smallest model in the all-new Mercedes Benz EQ range – The EQA borrowing the blueprints from its combustion-based cousin the GLA, the EQA flaunts a futuristic design Steven Lisberger (original Tron movie) would be proud of.
The EQA will adapt a lot of dimensions from the already tried and tested Mercedes Benz GLA and as you would expect it will follow with the protruding stance that the GLA had along with the raised ride height and wide rear haunches.
From the rear the EQA seems to continue the similar GLA Pattern with the sweeping roof line and raised roof bars, however no twin exhaust as expected from a car with no engine.
Mercedes have teased us with only one image of the interior of the EQA the neon blue accents with the dark interior cabin makes the EQA very inviting.
The Mercedes Benz EQA will launch in a 190hp EQA 250 to be later joined by a more powerful version with than 270hp and feature a four-wheel drive.
It is likely Mercedes would look to rival the latest all electric German family hatch from Volkswagen the ID.3 so we can expect a range of around 250 miles on a single charge from the EQA 250.
Mercedes have confirmed that they will reveal the new EQA at the end of January 2021 and expecting the first cars to go on sale before 2022.
It would be interesting to see where Mercedes will price this product as an luxury option to the VW ID.3 we can guess that the base EQA will sit around £40,000 while the more powerful higher spec version to easily cross the £50,000 range.
